DRINK TEC 2025 Kicks Off in Tehran: Iran’s Leading Beverage Exhibition
Iran’s Premier Beverage, Tea, and Coffee Exhibition

Tehran, July 30, 2025 – The 12th edition of the Drinks, Tea, Coffee, Related Equipment and Industries Exhibition in Iran Tehran (DRINK TEC 2025) officially kicked off today at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts from across Iran and abroad. The four-day event, running from July 30 to August 2, showcases a wide range of products and technologies across 16,000 square meters, with the participation of over 135 companies and 450 leading domestic and international brands.
Originally scheduled for mid-July, the exhibition was rescheduled due to national circumstances and high industry demand. Despite challenges in the economic and energy sectors, DRINK TEC 2025 has opened with strong momentum, reflecting the resilience and determination of Iran’s beverage and hospitality industries.

A Strategic Platform for Industry Growth
Ali Zaafari, member of the board of the Tehran Union of Juice, Ice Cream, and Coffee Shops and head of the exhibition’s policy council, stated:
“This exhibition is not just a marketplace—it’s a strategic platform to demonstrate the full spectrum of our sector’s capabilities. We are both producers and exporters, and even under difficult conditions, the industry refuses to stand still. We move forward with hope, and we will overcome the crisis.”
According to Zaafari, many companies have chosen to exhibit their latest offerings despite economic headwinds, underlining their commitment to growth, innovation, and regional market expansion.
From Coffee Trends to Tea Exports: A Market on the Rise
With the rising popularity of coffee culture among younger Iranians and a rapid expansion in cafés and restaurants nationwide, Iran has seen a notable surge in coffee imports—over 30,000 tons last year, primarily Arabica beans. On the other hand, Iran is also a major tea producer, with a 38% increase in output and 27,000 tons of exports to neighboring countries and beyond in 2024 alone.
This dual momentum positions DRINK TEC 2025 as an essential venue for businesses looking to seize opportunities in both domestic sales and international trade.
International Presence and Key Product Categories
While geopolitical factors have limited some international participation, companies from Italy, Turkey, Brazil, Denmark, France, and Switzerland are represented at the event, showcasing advanced machinery and specialty products.
Exhibits cover a broad spectrum of the industry, including:
-
Beverages: Fruit juices, black and herbal teas, coffee, malt drinks, traditional distillates, energy drinks
-
Raw materials: Concentrates, milk powders, food additives, colorants, citric acid
-
Processing machinery: Brewing and grinding equipment, filling and sterilization systems, transportation and labeling machines
-
Packaging solutions: Cans, bottles, glass, cardboard, aluminum foils, and printed films

Iran’s Largest Coffee Pavilion and Free Professional Workshops
A key highlight this year is the specialized Coffee Pavilion, described by organizers as the largest coffee-focused exhibition space in Iran to date. Featuring elite brands and high-end brewing equipment, the section offers a unique opportunity for coffee professionals and café owners to connect with suppliers and upgrade their offerings.
Additionally, free educational workshops are being held throughout the exhibition in Halls 8 and 9, covering topics such as barista techniques, bartending, and mixology. These sessions are led by top local and international trainers, drawing a large audience of professionals, students, and entrepreneurs.
A Public-Facing Event with Wide Appeal
Unlike many trade fairs, DRINK TEC 2025 is open to the general public, offering direct access to high-demand consumer products. Zaafari remarked:
“Our exhibition is always well-attended because the showcased items—coffee, tea, juice, and ice cream—are loved by everyone. Even with fewer foreign companies on-site this year, we’re confident the strong collaboration between local producers, importers, and consumers will make this event another success.”
